This award winning design and manufacturing business supplies high quality products to customers throughout the UK. Initially formed to fill a gap in the market the company is now a recognised industry leader enjoying healthy profits and significant year on year growth. Currently owner managed and projecting circa £20m t/o this year they are now seeking a Financial Controller to join the senior management team and make the most of potential growth opportunities in the near future. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CIMA / ACCA or ACA qualified accountant to lead and develop a finance function and support the long term objectives of the shareholders. Key duties for the Financial Controller will include: Preparation of monthly management accounts including commentary, suitable for presentation to the Board Preparing and maintaining budgets and forecasts plus continuous monitoring and reporting of KPIs and variances for the Board Preparation of monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts Review monthly cash flow movements and forecasts Pro-actively manage working capital and cashflow, whilst managing bank relationship Responsibility for overseeing payroll and associated PAYE compliance Managing tax affairs and HMRC compliance, in conjunction with the company's auditors, including Corporation Tax returns and VAT, as applicable You may also be required to work closely with various other Senior Management on ad hoc projects. A key part of this Financial Controller position will be the ability to adapt to new situations and think commercially as the business continues to grow, at the current run rate they believe £25-30m t/o is achievable and it is vital that you can install the controls and processes to sustain this. You must have the confidence and credibility to constructively challenge whilst also maintaining good working relationships at all levels. Strong communication and presentation skills will also be necessary to liaise with external advisers and potential investors interested in the business, in addition to working closely with the MD and senior team.
