A national, first-class equipment hire services business is recruiting an Asset Manager. The Role - Asset Manager An exciting opportunity for a Asset Manager. Reporting to the Board of Directors - this is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a leading organisation. Centrally based in the East Midlands however national travel will be required. You will provide a professional and compliant asset/disposal management service, delivering best value whilst ensuring supply chain efficiency. The role requires you to continually develop systems and processes, in order to improve quality and utilisation of fleet and assets. To ensure at all times that all legal, safety and financial disciplines are carried out and followed accurately. Responsibilities of the Asset Manager; Development of Excel tables to record and report availability of equipment. Ensure continuous fleet improvement, reducing the age of fleet, maintenance requirements and overhead costs of all assets. Development and execution of the Project Supply Chain Strategy. Ensure that storage of all assets within the business is appropriate and that the business is utilising locations effectively. Develop and/or implement best practice for asset disposal within the business. Carry out all work in compliance with company policies and procedures. 6 monthly stock takes. Requirements of the Asset Manager; Ability to provide support information, resources and ideas to assist other team members. Excellent interpersonal skills and team working with all members in the company hierarchy. Excellent written / reporting and verbal communication skills. PC competency in basic Microsoft, Office and Expert use of Excel is essential. Strong negotiation skills, whilst maintaining a welcoming and open demeanour. Flexible approach to business requirements where needed. Advanced literacy and numeracy skill set. Full UK driving licence.
