Finance Planning Manager - FP&A We are looking for an ambitious finance individual to join our FP&A team as a Finance Planning Manager for our Retail and Property area. This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified Accountant and the jobholder will support the development of the Planning team; owning and adapting all models used for commercial forecasting across the business. The role is truly cross functional and requires working with numerous other finance colleagues daily, across the existing Dixons and Carphone businesses. The jobholder will be accountable for preparation of accurate Property and Retail forecasts across both Dixons and Carphone (owning the development of these forecasts on behalf of the Dixons Commercial FD, the Carphone Commercial FD and the Channels FD respectively). As a key element of the Finance Operating Model, you will: Ensure that the forecasted financial position of the business is true and fair and is understood by both the Finance team and the business Create Property and Retail Forecasting, Outlooks, Budgets and Long-terms Plans (for both Dixons and Carphone) Support the Category Heads of Finance providing insight, updates on progress/timelines and communication with the wider Commercial Finance and business functions as necessary Furnish the business (at all levels) with a continual update on expected performance, symptoms/issues inherent in this performance and solutions for discussion and agreement Ensure that all Property and Retail functions provide timely assumptions for input into forecasts Support the Commercial forecast process - 3YP, Budget, STF, daily phasing and Weekly "4 Week" Outlook Be accountable for the production and communication of holding the business to time on the Retail and Property Forecasting timetable whilst ensuring that all appropriate Stakeholders are able to input as required and the outcome is a robust and challenging plan Support and challenge multiple business owners at senior level within the business, including non-finance stakeholders Support a programme of standardisation, tightening of processes and process optimisation You will need: A strong academic background (to Degree level) A recognised Accounting Qualification (ACA/ ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)- this role would suit a recently qualified accountant Experience within a retail or consumer setting is highly desirable Solid stakeholder management skills with an ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders Written and Verbal Communication Skills - able to tell a complex story in a compelling manner via all means of communication Problem Solving - able to analyse and understand complex data and situations to recommend the optimal solution Dixons Carphone is Europe's number one electrical and telecommunications retailer and services company, with more than 40,000 colleagues across nine countries, including the UK and Ireland.
