We are a market-leading contract packing and manufacturing business based in Nelson, Lancashire. Our continued business growth and development means that we must now strengthen our small, hardworking accounts and administration team. As a result, we have an excellent new opportunity for an Assistant Accountant. We work for some of the UKs leading FMCG brands; providing flexible contract packing and contract manufacturing services and outsourced support that is reliable, superior quality and very competitively priced. This role offers a real opportunity for career development in a business that is committed to training and development. Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager and working to high standards of accuracy, your duties will include: Sales ledger processing and management Purchase ledger processing and management Bank postings/reconciliations Journals Balance sheet reconciliation work and investigation of imbalances Monitoring of P&L income and expenses, with an emphasis on labour costs Weekly Payroll and Time & Attendance system cover approximately 140 employees Assist with audit work Assist with HR work The successful Assistant Accountant will have the following experience, capabilities and traits: Essential Sage 50 Accounts experience Excel experience Able to work under pressure and to deadline, without sacrificing accuracy Has a good understanding of financial processes 5 years experience in an accounts office Reliability AAT and/or part qualified Accountant, or QBE Desirable Sage 50 Payroll experience Team player Able to work with minimal supervision Please apply online to be considered for the Accounts Assistant
