Change Public Practice are working with one of Scotland's leading independent Chartered Accountancy firms in Glasgow to assist them in the hire of a Senior Accounts Assistant for their Business Advisory Services team. You will be offered an exciting and varied client portfolio which will include small to medium sized organisations across a multitude of different sectors. Responsibilities will include:
• Preparation of accounts for partnerships, sole traders and charities
• Preparation of accounts for audit exempt companies and online filing
• Preparation of management accounts including reconciliation of key control accounts
• Managing the accounts preparation process from planning through to completion
• VAT return preparation and bookkeeping responsibilities
• Assist with the coaching and training of junior members of staff Requirements:
• You will have approximately 2 years' accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies gained from a Chartered Accountancy firm i.e. Big 4, Top 10, mid-tier CA, independent CA firm
• You will be working towards a professional accountancy qualification i.e. ACCA / AAT etc.
• You will have strong communication skills and comfortable acting as first point of contact for your portfolio of clients
• Previous experience of working with Sage is essential and other cloud accounting software experience would be highly desirable
• A mixed background of client exposure including charities, retail and agriculture would be advantageous but not essential
