Based in Bedford, this well-known public sector organisation is on the look-out for an experienced Interim VAT Accountant to join their vibrant and challenging team for a 6-month contract with the high likelihood of extension. Reporting to the Budget Manager, this role will be the main point of contact for all VAT related matters. Other accountabilities include but are not subject to: Ensure that the VAT control accounts are reconciled and monitored accordingly. Ensure all important information is circulated to stakeholders through the development and maintenance of effective procedures. Be the main point of contact for HMRC in all VAT related matters. Ensure all claims and returns are calculated and submitted within the specified time frame. Undertake a detailed review of all proposed project plans and advise on all VAT implications.
