Due to a period of impressive growth and expansion, my forward-thinking client based in the Ashford area is looking to recruit a dynamic Assistant Accountant on a part time basis (working 3 full days). Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working to specific deadlines you will play a hugely important role in the continued success of this company. You will be expected to provide accurate and timely information for inclusion in the monthly management reports. This is a challenging and varied role which offers excellent exposure to a variety of accounts functions including sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, reconciliations and variance analysis. A confident approach is essential with the ability to work on your own but also a willingness to offer solutions and improvements to the current systems. It is imperative that you have advanced Excel skills with previous experience of working with Sage 50. You must be reliable, highly numerate and methodical in prioritising your workload with a high degree of discretion as you will be working with confidential information. Previous experience is essential, as is the attitude to succeed and progress. The minimum technical requirement for this opportunity is AAT Qualified or someone who is studying towards their CIMA/ ACCA qualifications.
