Our client is an acquisitive Group with a diverse investment portfolio ranging from property, publishing, healthcare and education. Reporting to the CFO, where you will be managing a small team of four, and responsible for the day to day accounting, financial control, statutory/management reporting and tax compliance for the Group. The range of responsibilities includes: Management Accounts, consolidated and divisional management accounts Annual Statutory Accounts, responsible for preparation and liaising with auditors VAT, Quarterly group VAT returns and assessing implications for new ventures/jurisdictions Forecasting/Budgeting detailed annual budgets for all divisions, incorporating cash forecasting Cash flow - Weekly forecasting, reporting daily cash position and treasury management Corporation tax, annual computations, prep./filing of annual tax returns, Monthly estimated computations and calculation of quarterly payments on account Credit Control of purchase ledger, sales ledger, including raising invoices for some divisions FCA reporting - Quarterly and half yearly FCA filings for two regulated entities Monthly Payroll, including calculation, reconciliation and dealing with employee queries Administering Pension Schemes and ensuring compliance with auto enrolment rules Investment Monitoring & Reporting, controlling and reporting on a focused portfolio of investments. The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualified accountant with proven financial control experience in a multi-entity/ group environment, ideally gained in a small to mid-size investment firm. You will have a minimum of five years' post qualification experience (candidates outside this range will be considered). It is likely the successful individual will have acquired experience within another family office or other closely aligned institution such as a wealth manager, private bank, private equity firm, trust company or professional services firm.
