We are a flexible employer and can offer a range of flexible working patterns from part to full-time, as well as working from home. Who we are: Grant Thornton is a leading Advisory firm working with a large range of clients across the UK. We are a leading business adviser that helps dynamic organisations unlock their potential for growth. We have created our own unique culture, one that allows you to have the autonomy to make your own decisions within a flexible structure, in an atmosphere where inclusivity and teamwork are essential. Our clients are proud to work with us and we are proud of our position in our local and regional markets and the reputation we have developed not just for the excellence of our client work but, as importantly, for the culture of our team. Why Grant Thornton? We are looking for a Senior Pensions Professional to join us as an integral member of our leadership team. Location is flexible for this role and this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to step into a challenging and rewarding role. We have participated in over 400 covenant review and transaction-based assignments over the last ten years, working closely with the Pensions Regulator (tPR) and the Pension Protection Fund (PPF), where on-going secondment programmes have given us a unrivalled insight into how they work. We have also acted as lead advisers on ground-breaking pension-centric corporate restructurings (including Uniq, Kodak and UK Coal) where we instigated innovative solutions to complex problems. In addition to covenant advice our Services include Actuarial and scheme de-risking, Pension scheme restructuring, Pension scheme transaction advisory, PPF Levy management, Scheme funding advisory and Pensions assurance. What you'll be doing: When you join us, you'll be joining one of the leading Pension Advisory teams in the Country. As an Associate Director you will be personally contributing to the growth strategy of Pensions Advisory. You'll be advising trustees and sponsoring employers on complex issues surrounding employer covenant assessment, scheme specific funding and the pensions transaction clearance procedure. You will also be responsible for Business Development, through our 'Relationship Led Approach' and managing the Advisory process with clients. Who we're looking for: You'll need proven experience within pensions covenant advisory services, gained within a practice environment. You will also need excellent communication, report writing and analytical skills and be passionate about developing client contacts and business development. We are looking for a commercial focused individual with the ability to deliver innovative solutions. As this is a Senior role, you will need to be able to mentor and coach more junior colleagues. Valuing you Your personal development plan will help you grow your skills and you'll be able to progress your career within your team or by moving across our business or going on secondments in the UK and beyond. You'll also enjoy a competitive salary and a flexible benefits package designed to meet your individual needs. We recognise the time you spend outside of work helps shape what you can bring to our firm. We value the commitments you may have outside of work and will consider all flexible working applications.
