This new role reporting into the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the preparation of accurate financial information within tight deadlines. Key Duties: Working closely with other members of finance and the commercial and operations team, you will be required to: Prepare monthly accounts, analysis against budget and prior year, and commentary Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts and prepare cash flow Maintain robust financial controls through management of purchase ledger activity including purchase requests, monitor cost against budget and reconcile cost of sales Monitor sales invoice processing and matched costs are accurate and in line with accounting policies Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations and provide support as required Manage open sales and purchase orders and prepare forecast ensuring consistency between systems. Analyse contract profitability and provide support for the renewals process Be responsible for the internal recharge process and assist with project analysis Manage the external audit process across all group companies, ensuring adherence to group standards of reporting including tax Ensure data integrity through rigorous monitoring of transactions Be involved with the continual development of internal controls and processes Assist with Ad hoc project work Knowledge: Systems Knowledge Highly systems aware and able to investigate and manipulate complex data using pivot tables (essential). Advanced Excel CAE uses SAP Business One as a finance system so any relevant knowledge is desirable Characteristics sought in candidate / Key Attributes Attention to detail Logical and methodical approach Conscientious, flexible, hands-on and the ability to work to deadlines Excellent written and oral communication skills ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent (degree educated) Positive, confident, "glass is half full" personality Good 'soft skills' and evidence at interview of good emotional intelligence The role would suit a qualified accountant with 2-5 years PQE in a similar role, keen to develop their career in a highly growth driven, commercial environment.
