Sewell Wallis are currently supporting a leading distributor based in West Yorkshire in their search to appoint a Senior Finance Manager to support with some exciting projects they have coming up in the business. You will join a fast paced and highly complex organisation that prides themselves on employee development and promotion. They service a diverse range of customers across the globe and have become a leader within their industry. They have an exciting new opportunity, following an internal promotion, for a senior finance professional to take the lead on some new projects, business partnering across the whole organisation with finance and non-finance individuals. You will be responsible for monitoring the company's financial position and supporting the Directors on all aspects of statutory reporting. You will take a lead on some commercial and operational projects to help improve processes and profitability and will be responsible for really adding value across the business. Reporting to a highly experienced and motivational CFO your responsibilities will include:- -Accuracy of ledgers, reconciliations and SOX procedures -Ensuring compliance across all companies across the globe. -Assist with month end and compliance with corporate policy -Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flows -Work closely with accounts payable and receivable to evaluate risk across the company -Develop a close working relationship with all areas of the business -Manage the finance function, developing and mentoring the team where essential -Developing systems and looking at continuous process improvements -Preparation of the statutory accounts -Managing KPI's and changing these where appropriate to address underperformance across all areas of finance across all countries -Group reporting and implementation of internal controls To be considered for this role you must be a qualified accountant with at least 5 years' experience managing a finance function. You will have a strong background within controls and compliance and ideally experience working with foreign currencies. You need to be an effective communicator who can confidently liaise across all levels in the company. Experience implementing SAP would be advantageous however not essential.
