Agora Talent is excited to be recruiting for a Management Accountant role within a popular fashion retailer, based in their head office in Central London. The role is initially offered on a 3 month contract, but there is the potential to go permanent afterwards.

Responsibilities:
Assisting with UK budgeting and analysis Assisting Believe Group accountants and external accountant firm in the performance of their duties Assisting the Finance Manager produce reporting and notes/analysis to the Group Assisting with Artist reporting: Liaising with the Royalty, Finance and Label teams to track Project advances, costs and income versus budgets and actuals. Implement strong trackable process and documents. Bookkeeping using Believe Software (SAGE X3) Accounts Payable: checking, coding and filing supplier invoices, following approval process, promptly preparing payments using online banking system, attending to any supplier queries. VAT reconciliation and declaration in line with HMRC deadlines Staff expenses: checking staff expenses, following approval process and ensuring prompt payments to employees Accounts Receivables: ensuring prompt receipts of customer payments, sending statements and chasing customers (emails/calls) as required Sales Invoices : preparing sales invoices as requested Payroll: communicating payroll changes to external payroll firm (ADP), checking the changes have been accurately entered, and ensuring prompt payment of net pay and PAYE to the payroll firm Bank : Managing the bank balance, identifying receipts and payments (reconciliation statement) Experience: A minimum of 2 year's experience in a similar role Experience with transactional duties - AP, AR, Balance Sheet reconciliations, preparing the trial balance Studying towards ACCA or CIMA (or keen to start) Strong academic background, ideally degree educated (2:1 or above) Experience within the media or consumer industries would be preferable Strong excel skills (v look ups, pivot tables) Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to respons to every application and therefore only successful applicants will be contacted.
