Accounts Payable Team Leader - Waterbeach - £28,000-£35,000 per annum An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading manufacturing company based in Waterbeach for an experienced and driven individual to join the growing accounts department in the role of Accounts Payable Team Leader. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will include the following: -Ensure that the purchase ledger is properly maintained and kept up to date -Responsible for accuracy and integrity of purchase ledger -Schedule payments as they fall due and ensure that agreed terms are adhered to -Control the Group's company bank accounts and ensure that payments are made in accordance with the bank mandate and internal policy -Liaise with authorising signatories to ensure all invoices received are recorded promptly and payments are fully and properly authorised -Prepare reports required on Purchase Ledger and perform appropriate month end routines to safeguard integrity of the data -Provide a payment cash flow forecast and explain reasons for major deviations -Production of management report on cash payments and forecasts -Manage Payables team of two to ensure day to day and monthly responsibilities and tasks are up to date -Maintain supplier statement reconciliations with the team -Prepare, submit and reconcile VAT returns -Assist with Year End Audit and liaison with external auditors. Prepare and provide reports and other materials as requested This client will consider candidates with ranging experience - both those with significant Accounts Payable and team leading experience, and those with strong Accounts Payable experience looking for a step up in to a Team Leader position. Candidates will ideally have worked in a large company (preferably but not essentially, global), dealing with a high volume of invoices and the associated reporting and reconciliation tasks. Any supervisory/management experience would be advantageous. It is also necessary that candidates are capable of working as part of a large team in a fast moving commercial environment, working to tight reporting deadlines.
