Credit Analyst / Senior Credit Analyst x 3 Our client is a rapidly growing, leading London-based fintech firm, focusing solely on monetising future cashflows and providing early funding to suppliers. They firmly believe that technology and financial innovation can be used to make funding cheaper and more readily available to everyone, from multinational businesses to SMEs. Headquartered in London (with offices in New York, Sydney, Frankfurt, Chicago, Miami, Johannesburg, Singapore, Bundaberg, Warrington and Bremen), the firm was founded in 2011 and is managed by a highly experienced team of fixed income and trade finance specialists with the goal of providing innovative and alternative working capital finance solutions globally. Our client is an active and established investor in supply chain finance assets utilising its own balance sheet as well as that of its subsidiary bank based in Germany. As well as holding assets, the team actively distributes assets to a wide range of investors including banks and institutional investors, in turn creating a wide range of credit appetite for its deals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a highly dynamic, flat and entrepreneurial environment. You will have the ability to think on your feet and act independently but know when to ask questions and seek guidance. Key job activities: Counterparty assessment - analysing counterparties' credit worthiness via credit data, financial statements, and systems to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit, and to recommend appropriate credit limits and/or credit structures; Credit control - regular periodic renewal and continuous monitoring of counterparty status, and anticipation and management of breaches and exceptions; Credit portfolio reporting - preparing credit portfolio reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit, general risk and ad hoc reporting; and Counterparty maintenance - developing and maintaining relationships with counterparties and/or third-party introducers. Qualifications: Degree level education. Finance or numerate subject preferred. Skills: Understanding of the key elements of Credit Risk Management with an emphasis on credit assessment in a working capital or commercial banking environment; Experience of commercial lending and credit assessment, along with general knowledge of large industry sectors and their risks; Ability to produce accurate credit papers and reports within tight deadlines; Understanding of risk reports (e.g. Value at Risk, Economic Capital) and their role within corporate governance; and Fluent in English. Other Asian and/or European language skills would be a benefit. Competencies: Excellent computer skills. Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a strong knowledge of finance and statistical analysis capabilities; Advanced financial modelling skills; Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels; Outstanding writing and visual communication skills, with strong attention to detail; Ability to work in a multicultural environment and across multiple time zones; Strong desire and ability to learn new skills; Pro-active in achieving results; Drive and desire to contribute as part of a successful team and cope with rapid business growth; and Able to build productive working relationships with Front, Middle and Back offices. Experience: Minimum three years' experience as a Credit Analyst either within a large bank, financial institution, or insurance house.
