My client has an exciting opportunity to join their company as a Payroll/Finance Assistant Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Running weekly and monthly payroll accurately to a tight deadline Accurate VAT reporting and making payments to HMRC and other associated legal bodies Bank reconciliation, daily funding control and the preparation of spreadsheets, reports and correspondence General clerical duties Additional duties as directed by Senior Managers and Directors Anyone interested in applying for the role will need a minimum of three years experience in a payroll environment and will need an understanding of a broad range of payroll systems. The ideal candidate: Good communication, analytical and IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Packages (particularly Excel and Word) Self-motivated with a high level of organisation and the ability to work to tight deadlines and organise your own workloads An understanding of accounting process and procedures alongside awareness of provisions to the data protection act and how these changes apply to the company In return the role offers several beenfits, including a workplace pension, Healthshield (cash back plan), Death in service ( 4 x annual salary) and free parking in addition to an early finish on Fridays.
