As a Procurement Senior Buyer at Aldermore you will help to manage the products and services that keep us ticking over effectively, and efficiently. That includes IT procurement, Facilities Management, Marketing, HR and Professional Services. You will find yourself at the heart of a growing division where team work and innovation thrive The Role We are looking to recruit a Senior Buyer within the Aldermore Procurement Team, based in Reading with occasional travel to our London and Peterborough offices. This role will report to the Procurement Manager (IT) and is responsible for supporting the implementation and adherence to the procurement strategy across Aldermore. This role works closely with finance, legal, key business stakeholders and suppliers. Key Accountabilities Implementing and managing adherence to the procurement strategy, ensuring Aldermore departments have clearly defined supplier strategies linked to the objectives of the appropriate function. Support the Procurement Manager with market and financial analysis and in creating an IT procurement category strategy that is aligned to business requirements. Assist the Procurement Manager by developing and renewing contracts with new and existing suppliers ensuring that they incorporate Aldermore's policies, including IT Security, legal, risk and compliance. Work with the Procurement Manager to identify further areas of value add to Aldermore. Support the business stakeholders in supplier management review meetings, tracking service level agreement performance and recording contractual changes. Ensure, where required, information is shared on a group-wide basis and on occasion take the 'Lead Buyer' responsibility for a category driven project. Promote supplier management, ensuring that the process is visible and adherence therewith. Provide guidance to Supplier Relationship Owners (SROs) to ensure compliance of SRM Framework. The person Experience of working in Procurement and managing IT Category spend and suppliers Strong interpersonal, relationship and team building skills Proficiency in using procurement related IT tools and systems Excellent communication skills, including strong presentation skills at all levels of the organisation. Analytical skills to evaluate needs/opportunities, with a strong process oriented work ethic.
