Affinion International are now looking to recruit an experienced International Tax Manager to join the team. The successful candidate for this role can either be based in Portsmouth or Slough. What will I need to succeed in this role? As our ideal International Tax Manager, you will be ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CTA qualified, typically with proven post qualification experience. Accompanying your strong academic background, you will have an excellent technical knowledge of UK tax and experience of preparing Tax computations or Statutory accounts and supporting them through the review or external audit process. You will also have the following skills & experience: - Strong accounting and technical UK tax knowledge - Experience of quarterly Corporation Tax Forecasting to the USA - Experience of software used to prepare Corporation Tax Forecasting - Experience of preparing Tax computations or Statutory accounts and supporting them through the review or external audit process Desirable - Exposure to legal entity accounting for International Groups - Exposure to tax accounting for International Groups - Experience of using Oracle Financials or a similar system - Experience of reviewing tax returns or auditing statutory accounts - Exposure to UK and EU VAT, US GAAP and/ or European GAAPs - Exposure to US SOX 404 Requirements What will I be responsible for? Joining our team as our International Tax Manager, you will work with the centralised Accounting and Finance Organisation and other local finance teams to challenge and produce the quarterly consolidated tax forecast following US GAAP under ASC 740 (70% of the role). You will assist with analysing contract deals for VAT and Corporation Tax as well as group restructuring for tax purposes. Using this considerable base of information, you will produce the required reports from International for our US Tax colleagues and identify potential opportunities for the group. Responsibilities include: - Group cash tax forecasting - Collate and check the information required for Country by Country Reporting - Work with External Advisors to keep the Transfer Pricing documentation up to date - Review of intragroup recharging hubs to support transfer pricing - Review of Direct Tax returns for the UK and other International companies - Maintain an overview of VAT position of the International group including the UK companies - Review and maintain oversight of local balance sheet positions and income statement movements on tax accounts which are the responsibility of AFO and local finance teams - Support and control the tax treatment for group restructuring transactions including dividends and recapitalisations - Assist contract deal structures including both Corporation Tax and indirect (including VAT) outcomes using external advisors where necessary Rewards & Benefits At Affinion, we understand that great employees should be rewarded and that is why the successful International Tax Manager will be offered: - Competitive salary Bonus - 25 days holidays bank holidays (pro rata) - Full training and support throughout your career at the business - Subsidised Gym Membership - Free hot & cold drinks - Close to public transport links and local amenities - Group Personal Pension Plan - Discounts & offers for employees - Free onsite parking If the role of International Tax Manager sounds ideal for you, please click APPLY below to register your interest No terminology in this advert is intended to be deemed discriminatory.
