Unielectronicshave an excellent opportunity for a hard-working and self-motivated finance assistant to work in a small, newly set up finance department. As a finance assistant you will be liaising with the finance manager and director with day to day administration and bookkeeping duties. Duties will include but not limited to: Processing sales, purchases and expense invoices on accounting system Bank reconciliation Recording and reconciling multicurrency transactions Assisting finance manager with quarterly VAT returns Monitoring Age payables/receivables and resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices Gathering Purchase/expense invoices from different online supplier accounts and team managers Reconciling balance sheet accounts on monthly basis Scanning and filing documents (including invoices) on day to day basis Payroll experience - preferable Assisting director and finance manager with adhoc task Organising and managing accounting records Competencies and Skills: Good knowledge of VAT rules Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Have strong communication skills both verbally and written (essential) Must have strong organisational skills with a flexible approach and 'can-do' attitude Demonstrates an ability to establish priorities and react quickly and professionally Good attention to detail Qualification & experience AAT Qualified (or any other relevant accounting qualification) Xero experience (essential) Candidate must have minimum 3 years' experience working in Finance/Accounting department.
