Description
The Financial Controller will be responsible for all financial accounting and reporting and the delivery of a first class service. You will report on this on a monthly basis and the transactional support across the organisation
You will be required to process and interpret highly complex and confidential information and business partner across the organisation giving support and advice to both financial and Non financial stakeholders.
You will deliver all monthly and ad hoc internal and external financial requirements in accordance with strict deadlines, accounting standards and other regulatory requirements including Monthly reporting pack and annual accounts.
Support with year-end accounts process (particularly agreement of balances) in accordance with strict formats and deadlines, business partnering with key stakeholders.
You will constantly identify improvements around financial monitoring systems and implement them to ensure sound governance and control in line with wider objectives
As Financial controller you will be a key figure in driving performance improvement , engaging the team to strive to deliver excellence. This will include delivering training and support.
be accountable for the detailed analysis of fixed assets, debtors, creditors, provisions, cash and reserves.
Liaise and business partner with the head of finance
Lead and be accountable for Audit. this will include the implementation and delivery of any necessary next steps
Ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and reports are produced to a high standard
Profile
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, engaging, passionate and have a "can do" attitude. You will be a real people person with experience of both technical accounting and finance business partnering.
It is a huge plus if you have management experience and have experience of implementing new processes to really add value.
Experience within the NHS or a similar sector is a huge plus for my client but is not essential
You will be fully ACA, ACCA,or CIMA qualified and have held a similar senior Financial Controller / Finance Manager position managing a team and delivering similar duties.
You will be a great communicator and passionate about your role, work , team and clients.
