Assistant Head of Finance Farnham Up to £35K per annum My client is seeking an Assistant Head of Finance to join their team within the heart of Farnham. The Assistant Head of Finance will be supporting the Head of finance with all daily processes and operations. The Assistant Head of Finance will: Manage operational efficiencies, audit and due diligence Be aware of the changing needs and requirement of the department and action necessary changes Train staff on the system and processes Improve/amend the process control and improvements across all teams Carry out reports and analysis on daily, weekly and monthly activity Manage and control all folders and documents for the teams Control the data between the client finance and accounts Manage invoicing, payments and debtors' reconciliations Identify further access functionality that can be utilised across the group e.g. credit control Control and reconciliation of the new Digital functionality Control of movement of intercompany and account transfers ensuring fees are deposited into the correct bank accounts Promote for audit and control the data integrity of subscriptions and the digital services The ideal candidate will: Have a strong working knowledge of reconciliations and management accounts (CIMA or ACA PQ or time barred) Have a strong working knowledge of Lean Management (preferably Six Sigma Green Belt) Be able to maintain a good level of understanding of our client's products and services Take responsibility for own personal development in line with agreed performance objectives Be a strong team player Have analytical and logical problem-solving skills Have Audit, review & control through Lean Management Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office Have a strong working knowledge of SQL Have a good business and commercial understanding Ideally have a minimum of 2 years Management Accounts experience Ideally have experience of working with HMRC In return our client offers a fantastic working environment, the opportunity to work within a new department, progression and excellent benefits.
