Financial Analyst II - Key

Responsibilities:
- Loading project budget information into CostCentre (revenue management software) system at the study outset and as changes in scope are agreed; and reconciling budgets on an ongoing basis - Supporting project team members with regard to time recording and the study scope - Overseeing the monthly completion of the Study Metrics by the Project Teams, defining the operational progress of the study, and ensuring accurate WIP (revenue) percentages are input into Cost Centre (budget management software) each month - Monitoring actual performance against budgeted tasks, so identifying efficiency deviation and potential 'out of scope' activities. Discussion of these scope changes with the Project Manager and Senior Management, and the presentation of potential cost implications to the client, regarding both services and expenses - Maintaining the Out of Scope (OOS) Tracker on a live basis - Occasionally costing Contract Amendments for variations in scope from the original contract; and creating the Operational aspects of the Contract Amendment document to send to the client - Project budget reallocation based on actual distribution of sites and patients globally. This is done as a quarterly review via the Study Metrics - Ensuring project revenue is correctly stated each month across all regions and departments, via WIP (revenue) Review Meetings in advance of each month-end Cost Centre (budget management software) lock - Providing revenue explanations to Senior Management each month, leading to proactive management for both project and departmental finances - Projecting revenue backlog quarterly, and forecasting study revenue monthly - Initiating and approving service, unit cost and pass through invoices. Monitoring the project cash flow position and profitability, and reporting issues to Senior Management. The Project - Analyst works with the Finance Department to obtain invoicing information - Reconciling service revenue and pass through costs on an ongoing basis and at the completion of the study. The Project Analyst works with the Finance Department to obtain invoicing information - Attending regular operational project team meetings, operational meetings with Department Heads, and monthly Project Management Review (PMR) & Global PMR (GPMR) meetings with Senior Management. Contributing financial insight regarding project operational issues - Dealing with ad hoc Project Specific Issues - Supporting development of department annual budgets, quarterly revenue forecasting, backlog reconciliation - Preparing summary group finance reporting for management reference - Support local financial auditor requests, and other information request from senior management, board of directors or external investors - Project management of ad hoc financial initiatives to support continuous improvement within the organisation Financial Analyst II - You: Education / Qualifications - A BS degree in a life science, and an Accounting Qualification ( CIMA) or demonstrated accounting work experience - Good computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and Email applications Experience - Previous Project/Finance Analyst experience, preferably within clinical research To submit your CV for this exciting Financial Analyst II opportunity, please click 'Apply' now
