Role Profile: An immediate vacancy exists for an Assistant Management Accountant and offers a great opportunity to work within the £500 million contract with Highways England. The contract has a dedicated finance team who are responsible for providing tailored finance information to aid business critical decision making. The team ensure accurate and timely management accounting information (P&L, full balance sheet and cash) is available to the central team for onward reporting to the Board. Working alongside the larger team, primary responsibilities will include the provision of financial support to the business using key Finance Systems such as, Oracle, Hyperion and Excel. In addition the role will have responsibility for a number of key monthly tasks essential to the integrity and understanding of the business results. Typical Deliverables: The provision of timely, accurate management information, incl. Balance Sheet for BSC Core/Service Ops. Accurate reconciliation of reported figures to underlying ledgers. Assist QS with financials for contract Reviews, quarterly Hyperion forecasts. First Point of Contact for all Project & Schemes/Transformation related finance issues. Attend contract review meetings and help to influence and educate challenging Project Managers. Take responsibility for ensuring revenue recognition and costs are correctly forecasted, charged and accrued. Risk identification and risk mitigation plans are in place and acted on. In depth review of overheads/utilisation by cost centre with follow up reviews with Business Managers. Consolidation of BSC Project in liaison with BU owners. Assist with HE quarterly reports. Identify process improvement opportunities to free up time for value add activities. Business Operations Skills - Experience: Previous accounting experience Excel - Intermediate level and above Business Operations Skills - Qualifications: AAT Qualified minm, P/Q CIMA. Demonstrable experience within a similar role.
