The Bott international group has been established for over 80 years specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of Workshop and In-Vehicle Equipment, with production facilities here in the U.K, Germany and Hungary, and partner companies throughout the world. We are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our highly motivated team based at our site in Bude, Cornwall. The main responsibilities of this position are as follows; Compilation of Management Accounts up to Trial Balance. Inputting monthly prepayments & accruals spreadsheet into SAP. Asset accounting - creation, disposal, retirement and monthly depreciation calculations. Ensuring that PAYE and wages control accounts are correctly reconciled on a monthly basis. Managing the multi-currency bank account clearance postings and subsequent reconciliations Responsible for all other Balance Sheet reconciliations Submission of quarterly VAT returns and all other associated VAT items such as EC sales lists and Intrastat reports Calculating and reporting export sales values by currency and VAT code Management of the Accounts Payable inbox - ensuring all queries are resolved, required changes are made and all invoices/credit notes are processed promptly in conjunction with other finance department staff Dealing with suppliers and compiling supplier statements. Completing monthly foreign currency revaluations. Management of the review and processing of all corporate credit card transactions; ensuring all items comply with Company expenditure policy Key involvement in the annual financial audit Other general finance duties as required. Our ideal candidate would have the following; A minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant. A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of SAP (not essential). Strong communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work to deadlines. Hard working and flexible approach to work. The hours of work are 08:00 - 16:00 Mon - Thurs, 08:00 - 15:30 Fri.
