Financial Accounting & Reporting Manager

Hoddesdon Contract: Permanent, Full time Salary negotiable plus excellent benefit package We are looking for an ambitious individual to join our Finance team with the ability to take ownership and deliver results consistently and reliably Overall Job Purpose A key role overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting for the VolkerFitzpatrick Group, the largest business unit of the VolkerWessels in the UK. The VF Group comprises multiple divisions / entities and turns over about £450m primarily in the Building, Rail and Infrastructure sectors. An experienced and dynamic individual is required to lead the accounting and reporting team supporting this business with a focus not only delivering core financial requirements, but also helping drive forward financial systems improvements. The key accountabilities of the role are as follows:
• Management of the accounting and reporting team (3 team members)
• Ensuring integrity of all company ledgers and balance sheets of the VF Group
• Overseeing all management and statutory reporting for the VF Group, including production of information for monthly board report
• Overseeing all management reporting to UK and Dutch Groups
• Cash management and forecasting
• Responsibility for forecasting and annual business plan processes and deliverables
• Supporting External Statutory Audit requirements
• Providing technical accounting support to the business (new and existing standards and group policies)
• Assessment of accounting impacts of transactions proposed by our new development business
• Providing ad-hoc tax support to the business in liaison with UK tax team Required Qualifications/ Experience Qualified accountant (ideally ACA) with PQE. Experience in a reporting role - group or similar where multiple entities and business units have been managed
