Salary:
£80 - £85k My client is a multinational manufacturer and wholesaler of women's clothing headquartered in central London. The company has been trading for over 40 years and produces clothing for nationwide high street retailers such as M&S, Next and River Island. We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to take charge of the internal financial reporting of manufacturing operations in Bulgaria and Georgia. You will ensure accurate and timely numbers are prepared for all operations in the UK & overseas territories. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Management reporting Review the monthly management accounts for the overseas operations and ensure they are received in a timely and accurate manner. Consolidation of management reports. Variance analysis for each operation, including commentary from overseas Operation and Managers. Agree corrective action plans and proposals where performance levels are not being achieved Visit overseas factories - internal financial audit: Internal review of accounting functions/ procedures and processes Identify any accounting anomalies Set savings targets Operational factory Review: Review operational performance/ efficiency Identify best working practices Review balance of the factory, identify bottlenecks Set and agree the factories annual budgets with the UK Board together with the factory's manager Investments. Prepare Business Cases, projections, sensitivity analysis, investment repayment periods, capital expenditure and cash flow forecasts etc. Monthly presentations. Explain factory results, identify potential issues together with proposals. Challenge the data provided. Seek explanations/ answers to large variances. Ensure that we know exactly what is happening in each factory. Take ownership. Authorise factory advances. Review funds requirement. Understand the tax rules and regulations in each territory. Liaise with our overseas advisors. Ensure factories are compliant with local regulations. Review and authorise payments. Key attributes: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of three years' post qualification experience, ideally within the manufacturing sector or internal audit Strong interpersonal skills Good planning / time management skills Microsoft Office - advanced Excel
