An experienced FP&A Analyst is required for a leading UK-headquartered tech company listed on the NYSE. The role reports to the Director of Commercial Finance and provides the support for the financial planning, forecasting, month end oversight and reporting for the Customer & Marketing Organisation (C&MO). The individual will manage the planning, tracking and management of the operational spend for C&MO divisions as well as FTE analysis, identifying variances and causal factors and ensuring alignment through the global budget and forecast processes. This role will also manage the running and ongoing support of system generated reports ready for the team. The position requires interaction across the Customer & Marketing Organisation and requires an individual who has the gravitas to challenge and communicate effectively. Duties Coordinating, consolidating and reporting Variance analysis - against budget, forecast and prior year and further insight if required Ensure timely and accurate month-end close for the divisions, Liaising with relevant stakeholders and accounting teams worldwide Identify variances and their causes Assist Support Functions FP team with the month end and year end activities (reporting, accruals and journal entries) Monthly reports including concise commentary for the divisions to the divisional leads, their direct reports and other stakeholders as required Co-ordinate inputs for relevant areas for planning cycles (including Headcount & all other opex) and ensuring that the data in TM1 & Cognos is accurate, reviewed and understood by relevant functional heads Provide relevant analysis & commentary for the output of the planning exercise to the Global Planning team to aid the SLT review of these functions and the overall organisation opex requirements Working closely with functional heads to help in drafting plans for achieving cost reduction targets as well as functional efficiency improvement and strategic / 5-year plans Providing timely and insightful responses to ad hoc responses from stakeholders and other internal customers Support the Director Commercial Finance on any Commercial or Travel Partner analysis that may arise and any other Ad Hoc duties as needed Capabilities: Part qualified accountant, finalist (CIMA, ACCA or ACA). Minimum 4 years Finance / Accounting experience Analytical with strong business acumen, modelling skills with the ability to articulate financial and commercial concepts to the business. Proven track record in support role. Detail oriented with excellent time management skills; able to meet commitments and deadlines. Self-starter with initiative and the ability to communicate ideas effectively. Experienced spreadsheet and financial modelling skills. PC literacy requiring strong experience in PowerPoint & Excel. Cognos & Oracle - benefit Good interpersonal skills, and an ability to tailor their approach to deal with different levels of management.
