Finance Manager who has expert knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software with excellent management skills is required to lead a small friendly accounts department within a well-established and growing Company based in the City of Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire.

Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire JOB TYPE: Permanent JOB OVERVIEW We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Finance Manager who has expert knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software with excellent management skills is required to lead a small friendly accounts department. Working as the Finance Manager you will be 'hands on', ensuring the smooth running of your department and that all accountancy based tasks within your team are carried out efficiently and to a high standard. As the Finance Manager you will need previous experience working within a management or senior role within a finance / accountancy department and have expert knowledge of Sage 50 accounting software. You will also have great business acumen, analytical, planning and organisational skills. DUTIES Your duties and responsibilities as the Finance Manager: Leading a small friendly admin team with all daily tasks of an accountancy / finance department Processing supplier invoices and issuing payments Preparing customer invoices and statements in line with their required MI data Allocating receipts and payments in line with agreed budgets and nominal accounts Maintaining effective credit control procedures Implementing appropriate financial controls Regular reconciliation of bank and petty cash Processing payments via BACS and other online payments Preparing monthly management accounts and timely project reports as required Maintaining cash flow and monitor allocation of resources Preparing financial statements Dealing with financial queries, investigating discrepancies, identifying and correcting errors Ongoing development of financial systems and processes Completing VAT returns Payroll Preparation of end of year information IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Preferably a degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field Previous experience working in a senior position within finance / accountancy team Expert knowledge of Sage 50 accounting system Superior mathematical skills Excellent team leadership / employee management skills and experience A good understanding of data privacy standards Solid communication skills, both written and verbal Deep understanding of business principles and practices Superior attention to detail with excellent organisational, multi-tasking, planning, research, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Good computer skills HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
