Finance & Project Manager - Atherstone - £52,540 rising to £76,495 Our client, an industry recognised and rapidly growing global retailer, has an exciting opportunity for a professional and well-educated individual to join a highly corporate and reputable organisation as a Finance Manager. In this varied role, you'll head up the team that takes a closer look at performance and shares best practice knowledge with our international business. You'll ensure that your team produces the kind of reports that allow the Directors to make business-critical decisions. Importantly, you'll highlight where the finances are heading and flag up any areas that need particular attention. The ideal candidate will need enthusiasm and drive, project management experience, experience of working to deadlines in a dynamic environment, be able to think on your feet, be self-reliant and be a confident individual with a positive mental attitude. Responsibilities of a Finance & Project Manager will include: Collate, prepare and interpret reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and financial statements Provide Project Management, support, guidance and training to financial and non-financial managers and colleagues Implementation of systems and processes to support the continual expansion of a fast-paced buying department Support departmental decision-making processes through accurate and relevant financial data Development and management of a team of direct reports Establish and implement financial procedures in line with departmental requirements Management of the departmental budget and expenditure Co-ordinate month-end closing and year end duties Develop systems and procedures to ensure the effective management of the department's finances, recommending operational efficiencies and internal controls Management of a centralised supplier contracts system Promote awareness of and compliance with contract management processes Provide guidance and training on contract matters, practices and procedures Manage the efficient and effective flow of correspondence both internally and externally Management of centralised filing systems and shared network drives The Finance & Project Manager will require: You must have a degree qualification for this role, minimum 2:1 Project Management experience Experience of implementing change and new systems/solutions Good legal understanding of contract management Retail (Food Retail desirable) and GSCOP knowledge desirable Relevant experience in finance and administration function in the field at an appropriate level Proven ability to provide support, guidance and training to financial and non-financial managers and colleagues Experience of managing your own team Strong commercial awareness The successful Finance & Project Manager can expect: £52,540 rising to £76,495 5 weeks annual leave bank holidays Company pension Private employee medical insurance after 6 months Please apply if you have experience in the following roles: finance manager, finance controller, administration manager, admin manager, finance analyst, accountant, corporate manager.
