Accounts Receivable Team Leader Bedford Circa £32,500 (depending on skills) Our client is a dynamic and ambitious 18,000 unit Housing Association based in Bedford and operating throughout the Oxford to Cambridge growth corridor. The organisation employs over 400 people, has an annual turnover in excess of £120m and a development programme that will see it build around 3,000 new homes over the next five years making it one of the top 25 of developing associations. They are currently looking for an experienced finance professional to manage a team of 4 Accounts Receivable Assistants. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a long term career in finance to enhance their management experience within a progressive organisation. In this role, you will accurately maintain our bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are posted on a timely basis and that direct debits are collected in accordance with the rules of the scheme. You will also be responsible for the debtor ledger and complete all monthly nominal ledger reconciliations in line with the monthly accounts deadline. The group are about to implement a new finance system and you will need to lead the Accounts Receivable Team through this change. With this in mind, previous experience of undergoing a Finance system replacement is desirable, along with any knowledge of SunSystems which is the system they are implementing. Knowledge of other add on systems (such as CSB, Collect and iPOS) would also be desirable, but not essential. Our client is interested in candidates who possess the following; Relevant management experience Previous experience of sales ledger High degree of IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel, and knowledge of computerised accounting packages Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines The ability to improve processes and efficiencies In return they offer a competitive salary, 28 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing with service, contributory pension, free life assurance, free private medical cover, reduced gym membership and canteen.
