FTC Payroll- £25,000 - Hays Recruitment Head Office- New Malden

You will be working for Hays head office based in New Malden. A FTSE250 recruitment company that are looking to recruit within their Payroll team.

Your new role
You will be working as part of Staff Payroll Team to deliver accurate and timely payroll to Hays UK Employees. You will be responsible for processing of new starters, updating changes to rates, hours and employment status. This will include calculation of adjustments and processing in payroll and checking payments accurate against payslips. You will be responsible for leaver processes including reviewing benefits and making adjustments, ensuring over payments are calculated and flagged to Team Leader and issuing of P45/final payslip. You will ensure to calculate maternity pay due to employees, manual calculation of entitlement to SSP and process correct absence entitlements.

In addition your role will involve dealing with employee and manager enquiries relating to pay, ensuring all issues raised are dealt with within SLA. This will involve liaising with internal teams to resolve issues and follow up on queries. You will also be involved in checking eligibility/approval and issuing season ticket loans, calculation of redundancy payments and responding to requests for earnings data from mortgage companies.

What you'll need to succeed
It is essential candidates have proven experience of payroll and have a sound knowledge of statutory requirements relating to payroll. It is essential that candidates have worked in a fast-paced environment of building good working relationships and influencing skills. You will need excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise busy and varied workloads. You must both a team player and have the ability to work individually when required.
