Job Description We are seeking an enthusiastic individual into our established finance team. As Credit Controller, you would be reporting to the Finance Manager, assisting them in promoting an environment of credit management rather than just debt chasing. The successful candidate would take a proactive approach to managing the debtors' ledger. You will be based at our head office in Gateshead. Main Duties Your daily duties will include: Work actively to reduce debtor days Chasing payment by telephone and email Contacting customers to ensure receipt of invoices & supporting paperwork Assisting customers in resolving invoicing queries Analyse and monitor the debtors' ledger to identify problem areas, making recommendations for their resolution Working with the sales department in monitoring outstanding balances and resolve queries Maintaining accurate customer account information Processing monthly statements Preparation and action of notice of terms documentation and legal notices for aged debts. Generate money due in report to help forecast cash flow Skills/Experience The successful candidate will: Have solid credit control experience. Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Be comfortable handling difficult debtors Be highly organised and efficient Manage their time effectively to ensure all the responsibilities of the role are met Demonstrate a flexible and proactive attitude Possess strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft office, Sage experience is preferred
