Job Details

Engaging and collaborating with key functional leads in completing financial forecasts in support of operating plans (annual budget), quarterly business reviews, 5-year integrated business plans and challenging key assumptions to establish robust forecasts

A very successful organisation who are expanding at their site in Rochester due to an increased project base.

Description

  • Working closely with the team, drive capital budgeting process providing additional support with challenging assumptions and affordability prior to reviews with senior leadership
  • Driving business ensuring fixed assets management controls around acquisition, capitalisation, and disposals are in line with the company's finance and governance requirements
  • Supporting and challenging budget holders to deliver on their financial commitments by tracking performance and provide insightful commentary to support decision-making
  • Providing accurate management accounting information on a timely basis
  • Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of the business risks/ opportunities, proactively recommending mitigation plans to deliver budget/forecast targets
  • Working closely with and influencing senior leadership to drive business performance
  • Collaborating seamlessly with the wider cost base team and other stakeholders, ensuring that processes are working effectively and efficiently and improvements are implemented
  • Developing, mentoring, providing support and guidance to first line

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team, line staff and leadership
  • Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Experience of supervising, managing and motivating team members
  • Must have the ability to work well with others and be a committed team player
  • Capital investment management experience
  • Fixed Assets management experience
  • Able to influence stakeholders
  • Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of Oracle ERP systems (or equivalent) and Hyperion
