POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager join the Consumer Brands Team in our Reading ; This is a key role in the Finance Team working across functions and European markets to support the Consumer Brands Group organisation (approx. turnover $200M) and plays an active part in influencing the profitability of the overall business. RESPONSIBILITIES As a Commercial Finance Manager you will be a first line partner to the Sales Management and Product Management teams and work with Product Managers. As you gain an in-depth understanding of the businesses financial systems (Oracle R12 and Microstrategy), you will use analytical and soft skills to analyse, validate and prepare financial data and presentations in order to present to management and their teams to analyse business performance, product costing, inventory, pricing and hierarchies. You will also support account teams in all commercial decisions. This will include analysis of customer and industry sales, pricing decisions, Requests For Quotes (RFQs), and tenders, and, preparing proforma ; You will support the businesses budgeting and forecasting processes for building invoiced sales, volume rebates and standard costs and ensure compliance with corporate, statutory and department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and ; BASIC QUALIFICATION Please note you will need the existing right to work in the country you apply for. • Previous relevant finance/accounting experience
• University degree in Finance or Accounting and a professional accounting qualification with CIMA, ACCA or ACA or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Experience of being a business ;
• Ability to apply fundamental financial analysis principles and practices.
• Creativity and ability to appraise new business opportunities and ways of ;
• Experience of driving cost control.
• Communication and questioning skills with the authority and credibility to gain respect
• Financial/ commercial acumen - ability to see the whole picture but not lose sight of the detail and make sound financial ;
• Researching and resolving financial discrepancies.
• PC skills; Oracle; Microstrategy; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applications as required.
