Description
The Senior Credit Controller will have responsibilities that include:
- To assist the Credit Manager in line management responsibilities
- Provide monthly updates to the Finance and Operations Director on the management of the debt portfolio
- To manage a portfolio of existing and new customers for the purpose of controlling, reducing and maintaining debt
- Proactively carrying out debt reviews
- Managing the outstanding debt portfolio by focussing on key accounts
- Manage both the credit risk on company receivables and supplier credit for company liabilities
- Minimise the working capital requirement for Accounts Receivables
- Manage the customer ledger by ensuring accurate records are maintained for each customer
- Forecasting of AR Month End Balances
Profile
The successful Senior Credit Controller will:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar credit control position - Essential
- Previous experience of managing and leading a team - Essential
- Microsoft Office skills namely Excel - Essential
- Ability to communicate with customers and staff at all levels of the organisation (essential) with excellent telephone manner
- To have negotiation skills in relation to credit control - Essential
- Highly motivated and have excellent technical report writing skills - Essential
- An eye for detail and be able to produce accurate results whilst working under tight time frames - Essential
- Institute of Credit Management member - Desirable
- Previous VAT and Indirect Tax experience - Desireable
- A pro-active personality with an ability to take ownership of processes - Desirable
