You will be working for a not for profit organisation based in York.


Your new role

You will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts dealing with stock and sales systems, producing reports, variance analysis, data interrogation. You will be building reports involving some dashboard construction. You will support colleagues in reporting on the performance of the department and whole organisation. Assisting operational colleagues in making sound financial business decisions to achieve its Financial Sustainability objectives. The roles involves working closely with the Finance Business Partner who is not on site everyday so you will be deputising for them as necessary and speaking to senior management. There will be a requirement for regular travel once a week and then monthly but all travel is conducted during the working day and is fully paid.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be a part qualified accountant with experience of compilation of management accounts. You will be confident on working in a stand alone role and comfortable presenting financial information to none finance based colleagues and communicating with senior management teams. You will have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong general IT skills to use other financial systems. Possessing excellent time management skills and both verbal and written communication skills.
