Calling all AAT Level 3 & 4 candidates, this is the role for you As Assistant Accountant, you will support the Financial Accountant and Revenue accountant with month end procedures and reconciliations and analysis of financial information in accordance with Company procedures, H&S Systems and the CPS Management System. Duties will include: 1. To support and assist Financial Accountant with monthly analysis of financial information. 2. To reconcile and update control accounts within the financial system and liaise with agents and third parties to investigate variances. 3. To reconcile intercompany balances and investigate differences with other departments and parent company. 4. Preparation of and assistance with month end tasks such as accruals & prepayments. 5. Preparation of VAT returns for review by Financial Accountant. 6. Complete Period Close Off on Sage 200 on a monthly basis. 7. To provide cover for cashbook and arrange cash to master as and when required. 8. To provide cover with checking and sending out Disbursement accounts to customers. 9. To provide cover and assistance to Specialised Products department with payment analysis. 10. To provide assistance with ad hoc tasks as required by Financial Accountant/Revenue Accountant. 11. To undertake all duties in accordance with Company procedures and instructions and in accordance with general and Health & Safety specific statutory, regulatory and other standards applicable to this role as noted in the Statutory and Regulatory Requirements Matrix. The ideal candidate will: - Be AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified - Be able to perform tasks on EXCEL with confidence such as VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables and formulas. - Have in-depth knowledge of Prepayments and Accruals, to assist with all Month end procedures and assist the Company Accountant with ad-hoc tasks.
