For: Credit Controller Meyer Scott Ref: VR/07229 Credit Controller - Huntingdon - 3months temp - £9.50 per hour Our client based in Peterborough are looking for a strong Credit Controller to work within their expanding team to cover a 3 month temporary period. Duties include: Responsible for processing customer payments, query resolution and liaising with other departments to resolve any problems. To ensure cash flow and sales are maximized, and bad debts minimized in line with company and departmental targets. Managing a large amount of queries through competent use of Excel formulas. Proactive approach to payment collection ensuring all debt is collected according to company policy. Achieving individual/team targets for collection and debt reduction in line with company procedure and policy. Ensure customer queries/debit notes are acquired in a timely manner, while also building and maintaining internal and external relationships. Routing of queries to the appropriate internal departments for authorisation and follow up where necessary to ensure timely payments from customers. Monitor and track query resolution via excel daily. Accurately inputting invoices and credit notes. Accurate cash allocation in a timely manner. Supporting all areas of credit control. Minimum of 2 years credit control experience. Works on own initiative but escalates matters, when appropriate. Technical ability to manipulate vast amounts of data in spreadsheets by applying formulas such as Vlookup and sumif, alongside the use of pivot tables. Skills needed: Strong communicator both written and verbal. Excellent team player. Confident attitude towards challenges. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets. Competent use of Microsoft packages. Working knowledge and experience of current Sales Ledger and Credit Control computer systems, preferably later versions of SAP. Keen interest to develop within credit control. Hours: Monday - Thursday: 08.30 - 17.00pm Friday: 08.30 - 16.30pm
