The role of Commercial Finance Manager sits within a fast paced multi site Business. The position will support the Financial Controller and is pivotal with regard to Commercial decision making. The role is based near Witney.

Client Details

The Commercial Finance Manager role is an integral position within the Company. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Finance and will support on all aspects of financial control and Commercial decision making.

Description

Key role functions:

Provision of management accounts and other financial reporting of a high quality, and which is circulated in accordance with deadlines specified by the Group Finance Director.

Identification and delivery of the key financial information required to drive greater operational efficiency, working with management to realise improvements in profitability and supply chain costs.

Proactively working with managers, particularly the members of the Operations team, to improve knowledge and provide support to enable them to perform their roles effectively.

Playing an active role in the development of the Annual Operating Plan, assisting managers as necessary to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.

Providing support to R&D with costing of development products, and other managers with ad-hoc financial projects which require costing expertise

Profile

Qualified accountant - ACCA or CIMA

A good knowledge of manufacturing accounting , including standard costing, variance analysis, and product costing

A good understanding of all aspects of accounting under UK GAAP

Advanced Excel skills

Intermediate PowerPoint and Word skills

A logical approach to problem solving

Good analytical skills

An ability to identify and implement solutions to resolve problems
