My client is a leading science/medical consultancy business and achieved double-digit growth every year since it's inception. My client has grown significantly over the last 2 years, trebling head count and is continuing to grow organically as well from M&A activity. Description
The duties of the Finance Manager will include the following:
Analyse financial information to assist with business profitability and growth
Provide accurate and sound group management reporting to assist with key decision-making
Produce month end and year end journals
Prepare statutory and management accounts
Lead on the annual group consolidated budgeting and planning process
Provide monthly updates on budget vs actuals
Manage capital expenditure
Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, work in progress, variance analysis and commentaries
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
Produce cashflow statements
Maintain the billings forecasting tool
Review company assets and liabilities
Prepare monthly reconciliations or all accounts
Assess monthly expenses
Calculate and arrange the payment of Corporation Tax, PAYE and VAT
Manage all payments including payment of salaries to staff
Manage debt
Produce relevant commercial analysis, for instance job costings
Manage banking arrangements
Review accounting processes and practices and wherever possible improve these to ensure efficient financial operations
Profile
The ideal Finance Manager will have the following:
Professional finance qualification either CIMA/ACA/ACCA
Professional services or building and construction experience
Experience producing management accounts, budgets & forecasts
Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial
