Assistant Accountant required for a London based coffee company
We are looking for a part qualified or newly qualified accountant to join our accounts team. This is a full time, one-year contract to provide maternity cover. It will suit someone who already has some accountancy experience and would like to work within an in-house accounting team.
Key responsibilities: •
Working with our shops and wholesale customers to manage all aspects of projecting, collecting and recording our income. • Maintaining our stock records and recording stock counts, with adjustments as necessary. • Recording a wide variety of nominal journals, including accruals and prepayments. • Preparing and submitting VAT returns • Supporting our accounts assistant with technical and other queries. • Producing the management accounts and other key papers for management meetings
Key skills required: •
Relevant accounting qualifications and experience. • Experience of working with an accounting software package, preferably Sage, as well as all round computer skills, particularly with Excel. • The ability to work diligently, complete tasks thoroughly and fit in well within a small team. Great communication skills, both written and oral. • A genuine desire to be helpful and enthusiastic to everyone who needs assistance with high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times. • An interest in, and enjoyment of, coffee is an advantage.
Position details: •
Full time, one year contract. • Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm • Early June 2019 start preferred • Based in Bermondsey (SE16 4RA)
