Financial Control Manager, Edinburgh £300-£330 day rate

Hays Senior Finance are currently partnered with a global investment management corporation in Edinburgh to recruit a Financial Control Manager. This contract will last between 3-6 months, with a competitive daily rate of £300-£330 depending on experience. Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for assisting the team with the month-end close including posting journals and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also assist with restructuring and rationalisations as required. Day to day tasks will include preparation of month end reports and dealing with queries from entity controllers, tax, treasury and other stakeholders. Furthermore, you will support requests arising from internal and external audits and carry out other ad-hoc tasks as required.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with significant experience in financial services. You will be proficient with excel, and previous experience with Oracle and HFM would be advantageous. You will be a team player with strong communication skills who delivers reports with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and you will possess the ability to use your own initiative and suggest new ideas for the development of the business
