Assistant Management Accountant, Telford,Temp to permanent

You will be working for a dynamic and global business based in Telford and are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.


Your new role
You will be working closely with an experienced Finance team and assisting the Management Accountant with various tasks. Duties will include:

• • Create weekly Purchase Orders, checking costing information and investigate any queries. Check any credit notes required, blocked, parked or stopped Purchase Orders on price issues
  • Assist with balance sheet
  • Completion of weekly and monthly reports and Management accounts financial KPIs.
  • Run general ledger reports and investigate any charges that are not related and journal over to correct GL Code/ description and cost centre
  • Raise journals including month end journals for accruals and prepayments
  • Assist with month end procedures
  • Support the Management Accountant with financial drills, reports and ad-hoc tasks. Provide financial support and guidance to the Operational Management team
  • In addition to these duties, you may be required to undertake other duties in line with the needs of the business, where appropriate training provided
  
  

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate should be either AAT Qualified or studying CIMA/ ACCA. You should have accounting experience and looking for your next step up. You should have advanced Excel skills and be able to start on a temp to perm basis.
