Credit Control and Sales Ledger Clerk Based in Sandbach £22,000 - £25,000 5 years minimum experience required

Your new company
Your new company are a leader in their field based in Sandbach and are looking for an all-round Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role
In your new role your will ensure the sales ledger is effectively and proactively managed throughout the invoice to cash cycle, whilst also undertaking fundamental credit control duties to ensure effective cash collection.
Duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Reconciling and implementing improved Cash Collection procedures.
  • Managing the customer relationships and responding to internal and external queries quickly and efficiently
  • Lead role within the Sales Ledger Function for multiple business entities.
  • Review aged debtors on a monthly basis, whilst posting and allocating cash and keeping an ongoing clean sales ledger.
  • Conduct regular debt review meetings with senior member of staff
  • Liaising with Sales Invoicing Team with query resolution and working in multiple foreign currencies.
  • Produce routine reports, schedules, and summaries for management as required
  • Some analysis work for the wider finance function
  • Continuous improvement (specifically supporting any system changes) of this role within the finance department.
  • Working with contract and legal teams to create new customer accounts in the finance system, as well as issue setup invoices.
  • Managing client billing process. Including monthly KPI and ad hoc figures

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5 years previous Sales Ledger and credit control experience is essential
  • Self-starter with 'get up and go', enthusiastic, energetic and bubbly
  • Positive and a very strong, can do attitude.
  • Ability to pursue external and internal contacts in a professional and organised manner, along with working from their own initiative to keep aged debtors to a minimum.
  • Ability to own the whole process, operating in a structured and organised way.
  • Highly numerate and literate with high level of communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel to a high level is essential.
  • Must be able to work in harmony with other team members and use own initiative for broadening own expertise and experience.


What you'll get in return
