Our client is a fast-growing IT-based SME business that has doubled their headcount and posted great growth since their founding in 2008. As a top performing UK IT solutions provider, as well as becoming a global brand, with strong presence in London, Europe and the US, our client is looking to bring in Finance Manager into their City of London office to support their further growth.

The UK Finance team is a smaller team of 5 individuals, and this role would be No.2 in Finance for the business. They are a great and fairly autonomous unit and this is the chance to develop the team, help drive business growth as well as potential to further recruit and build the function around you.

Description

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Director this Finance Manager role will be both a varied and hands on. The initial focus will be around driving process and systems improvements, and the automation of their new accounting system, whilst overarching goals are the ongoing running of the finance function and strategic guidance of the business.

The role will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Process & Systems Improvements: automation of reporting through Sage Financials.
  • Month End/Year End Reporting: Oversee the production of all reporting, alongside budgeting and commentary
  • Analysis: Ad hoc analysis and reporting where required to deliver to board
  • Board Reporting/Strategy: delivery of reports to board and assist with strategic guidance of the business. Deliver an active role as member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Guide and Develop Finance Team - Ongoing training and development of members of the finance teams. Potential recruitment and training of 6th team member.
  • Maintain current knowledge of IFRS and the Group's other statutory reporting requirements
