Management Accountant

My client is an award-winning Consultancy company which specialises in training courses and has a annual turnover of £20mil globally. They are located in the heart of London and pride themselves on created a great working culture. An opportunity has arisen within the team for a Management/Financial Account level role. This role will be supporting the Central Group finance team which works across multiple regions.

Your new role

Your key duties will be:

Month End Accounting responsibility for multiple business units, including:
o Revenue Accounting and Deferred Income reconciliations
o Variance Analysis
o Balance Sheet Reconciliations incl. Fixed Assets, Accruals & Prepayments, Stock
o Monthly payroll journals and reconciliations
o Preparing Departmental Accounts analysis & reviewing KPIs
o AP input on sensitive items e.g. Instructor invoicing
o Submitting reports to Group Finance Management

• VAT processing and reporting multi-region
• Audit Preparation and Liaison with auditors
• Support to and Cover for Accounts Assistants roles including Accounts Payable functions
• Process/Control review, implementation and management
• Responding to queries and other ad hoc analysis as required
  
  It is also highly desirable, though not essential, to have experience of:

• Accounting for Government Apprenticeship Funding or working in a similar environment
• Working with reporting tools

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Existing accounting qualifications and experience of accounting to trial balance level
• Ability to work on a variety of tasks, and be willing to take on anything related to finance
• Excellent inter-personal skills and proven ability to build effective relationships both in and
• outside of the finance department
• Have a passion for a career in finance and be keen to learn & develop
