Our client are looking to bring their Finance and Accounting in-house for the first time due to significant growth within the business. For this reason, they are looking for a driven and self-motivated Accountant who will be excited by the prospect of setting up the Finance function.

Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the finance function. Due to the current growth and future growth plans, this role offers the opportunity for progression and development in to a more senior role. It is a really exciting time to join the business as they start the next stage of their journey.
Responsibilities
- Formal month end close of accounts (including key account reconciliations) and preparation of management account extracts
- Variance analysis and commentary
- Prepare year end audit documentation
- Reviewing all internal finance processes and controls
- Arrange bank payments for all suppliers & employees
- Monthly VAT and PAYE Payments
- Cash flow updates
- Complete the credit control for the Company on a weekly basis including Reconciling client accounts and issuing up to date statements following received payments
- Liaising with senior management
Profile
This role would suit a candidate who has the following experience:
- CIMA/ACCA qualified
- Experience within an SME setting, ideally in a broad finance role
- Working knowledge of SAGE
- Highly organised, efficient and with excellent attention to detail
- Ambitious and driven
- Strong commercial acumen
