Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a well-established and growing Manufacturing SME based in Bourton On The Water, Cotswold for a dynamic and hands-on Finance Manager. An exciting and newly created position reporting into the Group Financial Controller and Managing Director where you can really add value and support business growth. A varied role involving month-end processes, business partnering and day-to-day bookkeeping.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve reporting insightful project and product margins that drive improved decision making and accountability across the business. Reporting the businesses P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements along with commentary and analysis of key variances and company performance. You will provide accurate stock/WIP accounting and provisioning, cash forecasts, intercompany reconciliations along with VAT, tax and assistance in preparing statutory accounts. You will assist in monitoring actual costs and margins by project, month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, reports and analysis of sales by customer along with involvement in the annual budgeting setting. You will be involved in supporting and training team members along with system and process improvement along with ad-hoc projects.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on and varied Finance Manager you will need experience within a similar role, a dynamic and analytical approach, along with being able to manage your own work loads and work towards deadlines. You will have strong communication skills to build internal/external relationships, ideally you will be part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience with key MS Excel knowledge. Experience of project/costing accounting along with having worked in the manufacturing sector would be advantageous.
