Client Details

My client is a FTSE 100 client based in Cardiff.

Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join a leading FTSE 100 client based in Cardiff.

The Senior Finance Analyst will be joining a project being headed up by Group IT and you will report to the Finance manager on the Project.

You will be instrumental in building costing models for Group IT that can be used to segregate the costs across the business for the IT applications and support used.

Job Duties
Management Information

Produce analyses/trend reports and appropriate MI to assist with the review of cross divisional charges of Group IT costs to aid the divisions understanding of underlying charges and provide greater transparency of costs.

Allocated Expense Review

Review the current allocation recharging model and help shape new cost allocation principles and basis for the Group IT cost base.

Financial Control

Ensure adequate controls are in place around any modelling used in the allocation process and sufficient processes are documented to ensure risk of un-supported models is mitigated. The documentation should include appropriate PCRM and other process flows as appropriate.

Ensure allocations basis used to allocate Group IT costs are fully understood, documented and are agreed as an appropriate driver of cross divisional allocations of Group IT costs.

Planning and Forecasting

Develop a model or framework that can be used in the planning and forecast process to apportion Group IT costs to divisions in line with how these services are provided by Group IT and consumed by the business.

Projects

Support the management team by undertaking ad-hoc analysis and projects, as required, to further develop the success of the division's and own personal profile within the division.

Profile

Qualifications
Finalist, qualified accountant or qbe.

Knowledge
Strong understanding of accounting processes and principles
Understanding of and ability to interpret and apply Group policy and procedures.
Dynamic, passionate and energetic personality with ability to effectively manage workload drive change and improvement across the division

Skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to influence others and operate in a complex matrix structure.
Ability to create and deliver clear and concise written or verbal reports.
Using logical argument and data, challenge peers and Directors.
Ability to demonstrate strong inter personal skills and ability to interact at all levels of business
Advanced knowledge in the use of spreadsheets, databases and analysis tools.
Ability to design, develop and maintain financial models
