Description
The is a broad role reporting directly the Finance Director
- Lead the production of the management accounts with supporting commentary and analysis
- Assist the FD in designing and implementing robust internal processes to maximise efficiency, and ensure time can be spent on Value Creating activities
- Identify, analyse and report key variances
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Deliver budgeting, forecasting and varaince analysis
- Plan and monitor cashflow, to ensure the business expansion needs can be met
- Implement and monitor effective internal controls to minimise risk and manage expenditure
- Design, implement and monitor internal accounting policies
- Lead a team of three and be responsible for their professional development
- Liaise with the transactional team and build relationships with the Store, Sales and Warehousing team
This is a broad role, with scope for development and progression. You will get good visibility of the business as a whole, and be in a position to have an impact and add value.

This Management Accountant position will suit a technically astute, commercially minded individual who is keen to learn in a high responsibility role. To maximise success, the ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Have a strong ability to communicate at all levels, to finance and non-finance persons
- Able to demonstrate excellent excel capability
- Ability to identify commercial opportunities and risk
- Process driven with a strong desire to continually improve their deliverables
