Management Accountant - 6 month contract - free parking - Chelmsford - £36,000-39,000

You will be working for a organisation that will need you on an interim basis what ever happens with Brexit! It is very unlikely to have any effect on this organisation. This is minimum of a 6 month contract, with a likelihood of extension. The business is easily accessible by public transport and by car with free parking available.

Your new role
You will be supporting the Finance Manager providing costings, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, year-end statutory accounts, bank reconciliations, treasury back office and submission of VAT returns.

The business needs you to particular focus on costing of staff budgets and ensure that the overall budget is accurate as this will enable sizeable decisions to be made.

With the cash flow management, it will be important to really understand the operational needs to ensure that the Treasury team maximise investment opportunities.

You will also recruit and supervise the transactional team that complete monthly tasks such as bank reconciliations, control account reconciliations and submission of the VAT returns.

Analysis of the Key Performance Indicators reviewing regularly to ensure the senior management team understand the information from quantitative and qualitative data.

Assist with on-going projects such as system upgrades to SAP.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have experience from a similar role from within a public sector organisation or commercial business. You ideally be at least AAT qualified and possibly studying towards CIPFA, CIMA, ACA or ACCA.

What you'll get in return
You will be paid £36,000-38,000 - 6 month contract minimum
